Who do the teams play?

Teams will play other Extra Teams being formed in our neighboring regions as well as other regions outside of Area E.  Games will be played on our home fields as well as other participating regions.

How long is the season?

The AYSO Extra League began in the Fall of 2010.  There will be a regular league season beginning in September, followed by playoffs.  After the playoffs, teams are free to attend as many tournaments as they wish.  Tournament fees vary and the cost of the tournaments will be the responsibility of each individual team.

Who is coaching?

The volunteer coaches for this program have been selected based on their training, experience and other qualifications.

How are teams selected?

Participation in the EXTRA League will be determined by tryouts. We are recruiting for the following age group divisions for EXTRA boys and girls: U10/U11/U12, U13/U14/U15. All age groups are being evaluated at each tryout session. All players need to show up 30 minutes prior to the tryout start time to check in. A selection committee will choose players. Players need to attend a minimum of two tryout sessions to be considered. All players need to wear the proper attire including cleats and shin guards. All tryouts will be held on the Rancho Santa Susana Park Fields (Foundation fields – LA Ave and Stearns Ave) on the following dates and times:

How will a player register for the team?

Players who are selected for the Extra team will be asked to register for the Fall Season (date is to be determined) to ensure they are committed to the team. All players are required to have registration dues paid in full by June 1st!
