Quartz Hill Shootout in Lancaster
Maroon 12, the Simi U12 boys team, recently took second in the Quartz Hill Shootout in Lancaster. Simi started out great in an unexpected 3-1 win over Culver City. The Boys came back ready to play but unfortunately had only enough players to start the game and then lost a player going into the fourth quarter but the boys kept it together and lost to Lancaster only 1-0. The next day the Boys held their heads high and beat Quartz Hill 3-0 and got one extra point for the shutout that brought them to the Finals for a rematch with Lancaster. The score was tied 1-1 for most of the game but Lancaster came back and scored one on Simi. Simi took second and has an amazing record of three third places, and two second places. Great Job Simi!! Santa Clarita Valley Showdown
Simi Valley BU12 All Star team placed 3rd in the Santa Clarita Valley Showdown and went undefeated with no goals scored against them at all! They started out by beating Pacific Palisades 3-0 then beating Castaic 4-0. They ended up tied with Camarillo 24 points each at the end of pool play, but unfortunately Camarillo had more goals. They got to go to the championship while Simi placed 3rd over Valencia in an Exciting 1-0 match. Congratulations Simi on your undefeated Tournament and not letting a goal past!!
